Andy Tallia

Speed, tactics and the need to make the right decision at the right moment are what Andy Tallia enjoys most about paragliding competition. That constant drive to fly better and keep improving has taken him to the highest international level and into the French team.

He discovered paragliding thanks to his father and started flying solo at the age of 14. Growing up in the Alps, flying quickly became a natural way for him to experience the mountains. Cross country came next, followed by competition, where he found the perfect environment to keep progressing.

His main results include winning the 2026 Paragliding World Cup Superfinal in Pegalajar and the 2025 Paragliding World Cup in Algodonales, as well as finishing second at the 2023 Paragliding World Cup in Pegalajar. He was also French Vice-Champion in 2024 and 2026, and French Junior Champion in 2024.

One of his best stories sums up his relationship with flying perfectly: during high school, whenever conditions allowed, he would fly down from the ski resort where he lived and land next to the school. Sometimes he even took a classmate with him on a tandem flight.
Now he wants to win the major FAI 1 titles still missing from his career, reach number one in the WPRS ranking and start competing in Hike & Fly.

What Andy values most about Niviuk is the quality of the equipment and the close relationship with its pilots. For competition, he flies the Icepeak X-One with the Rocket R; for Hike & Fly, the Klimber 3 P with the Rocket P; for mountain adventures, the Kode 2 P with the Roamer 2 P; and for his professional tandem flying, the Takoo 6 with the Sherlock and Watson 2.
