Dylan Mansley

Born into a flying family, Dylan grew up around his parents’ flight school in southern Spain. At just six or seven years old, he began groundhandling and making short hops on a small wing under his father’s supervision. He qualified at 14 and has been making the most of every flying opportunity ever since.

His progression has been shaped by countless hours in the air and guidance from his family and the school’s instructors. Before focusing on cross-country and competition, Dylan spent plenty of time playing on the dunes, practising wagga, exploring acro and enjoying Hike & Fly. This varied background continues to influence his approach to flying.

Joining the British Paragliding Racing Academy helped him develop his competition skills. Over the past four years, he has steadily progressed to higher-level events, achieving third place at the PWC in El Yelmo and winning the Pre-PWC in Pitolero in 2026. Among his proudest achievements are helping the British team secure overall victory at the 2024 European Championships, becoming British Winter Champion in 2024 and 2026, and finishing as overall British vice-champion in 2026.

For Dylan, the most memorable flights are those shared with friends and family. One recent highlight was exploring the 4,000-metre peaks of Switzerland’s Jungfrau region with fellow British team pilot Seb Ospina, before landing on the summit of the Jungfrau — an unforgettable day in the mountains.

Looking ahead, Dylan wants to explore more vol-biv adventures and Hike & Fly competitions while continuing to develop his flying. He now flies the Niviuk Icepeak X-One.
