The passion for free flight runs in my family: my father has been paragliding for more than 20 years, and without a doubt that’s where my love for this sport comes from. I did my first tandem flight when I was only 3 years old, and I was always taken along to competitions and flying trips. So, my dream and passion have always been to fly.
I started when I was 13, and since then I’ve been setting myself new goals every day. Later on I entered the competition scene, beginning with the Andalusian Regional League, then National Leagues, Spanish Championships,
World Cups, and World Championships… So far, I’ve achieved dozens of podiums in regional, national, and international competitions in both Cross Country and Accuracy. My aim is to stay on the national team and represent my country at the highest level.
There’s a paragliding experience I’ll never forget, and it has to do with a mistake I made in Piedrahita during the Spanish Paragliding Championship, in the Club and Tandem category. I was super motivated to get the best possible result, and the start time for the first task was at 14:30—but it was delayed to 14:45. I didn’t realise the change because before taking off I usually listen to music to focus. I took off with the wrong start time in my head, and when I saw nobody heading to the next waypoint, I also waited, although it felt strange. I missed the start by 2 minutes and stopped my time as the first solo glider. When I landed and found out what had happened, I couldn’t believe it. Sadness and anger took over, but the support from my family and friends encouraged me to keep going, and I carried on flying throughout the whole championship. In the end, I finished 11th and even won the last task. The most important thing is that I learnt from my mistake, and it has never happened again.

While I try to become a professional athlete, I'm studying for a degree in Sports Science because I'm a huge sports enthusiast. I ski, trail run, and climb; I love going to the gym and staying in shape. And of course, I love living life to the fullest!
