NEW WORLD RECORD IN THE HIKE & FLY FIELD: 13.390 m OF VERTICAL ASCENT!
Yesterday, NKore Team pilot Tanguy Renaud-Goud broke the impressive Hike & Fly World Record that Lukas Hofer held since 2018 (13.040 m of vertical ascent).
The rules are to hike using only your legs and then fly down. You can only fly during the hours of sun.
He started walking at 1 am and hiked up Le Taillefer (2.500 m of ascent) during the night. The first flight was at 5:19 am. After this, he hiked up 11 times the vertical kilometer of Le Grand-Serre in South Grenoble. His last flight was at 21:22, at the limit in terms of timing.
Tanguy achieved 13.390 m at the end using the proto of Niviuk's new Kode P. In 24 hours he hiked the equivalent of the Everest and the Mont Blanc.
Here are some of his impressions: "I feel very tired mentally and physically. I feel that I went to the limit of my abilities yesterday. Today I can say that we broke the record but I can especially say that I learned a lot about myself."
Well done Tanguy!
