On 6 October 2026, Niviuk pilot Nico Suremann achieved an extraordinary 570.15 km flight in Brazil, setting a new Junior World Record for distance in paragliding. Flying his Icepeak X-One and Rocket R, the young Swiss pilot completed an epic cross-country flight, topping the daily XContest rankings and reaching a milestone he had dreamed of since childhood.

570 km in perfect harmony

From the very beginning, Nico sensed that the day had the potential to be something special. With favourable conditions and everything coming together in the air, he found the rhythm and efficiency needed to keep pushing the distance.

“From the beginning, I had a feeling that today could be the day. I was just floating through the sky, completely in the flow, feeling really good and efficient. The X-One and the new Rocket R made my job so much easier.”

The Icepeak X-One and Rocket R proved to be a winning combination on this remarkable flight. The performance of Niviuk's CCC competition wing, paired with the aerodynamic design of the new Rocket R harness, provided Nico with the equipment he needed to make the most of the conditions throughout the day.

More than just an impressive distance, the flight represents a major personal achievement for the young pilot.

His motto says it all:
“May the wind be your spirit.”
“And on this flight, it felt exactly like that.”

A huge congratulations to Nico on this incredible achievement! Explore Nico's 570 km flight on XContest
