Niviuk is ready to race in Austria

“Welcome on board!”

The 27 and 26 year old Austrian Paragliding pilots Eli Egger and Michael Somi Sommerauer, now part of the Niviuk Adventure Team, are ready to rock the Austrian and international skies on their brand new Icepeak X-Ones in 2022! 

With a well-known track record in the paragliding world, they have won different national and international titles in recent years. Among their greatest achievements, for example, Michael Somi Sommerauer, nicknamed “The High Fly Guy” on social media, took fourth place in the World XContest and No. 1 in Austria 2020, and Eli Egger, being continuously the best female pilot in the Austrian League since 2017 and 5 times female Austrian national champion, came in 2nd at the Freedom Open 2021, 4th at the French Open 2021 and 3rd at the PWC 2022 women’s category in Roldanillo (Colombia).

New goals are already being formulated, such as standing on the podium of the PWC 2022 or setting XC records over the best alpine landscapes. The support of their scout and partner in adventures in Germany & Austria, Christin Kirst, is already assured.
