Koyot 6 vs Koyot 6 P: which one best suits your way of flying?

Taking your first step into the world of paragliding is a unique experience. If you are not sure how to start flying, you can follow these four basic tips to get into the sport.

The most important thing is the flying equipment you will learn with. Choosing the right wing will shape how you progress and how much you enjoy every flight. That is why our Koyot wing is ideal for taking your first steps: it offers stability, easy handling and the safety you need to begin with confidence.

The Koyot 6 and Koyot 6 P school wings share the same DNA: safety, accessibility and intuitive progression. However, each one is designed for a different flying style and use.

Discover which of the two best suits your way of flying.

The same spirit: learn and progress with confidence

Both the Koyot 6 and the Koyot 6 P are designed for pilots in the learning phase and for students at flying schools. Their intuitive piloting and predictable behaviour allow you to progress safely and naturally from day one.

Both offer:
  • Easy and progressive take-offs
  • Great stability and balance
  • A long and precise brake travel
  • Tolerance of the typical piloting mistakes made by students
  • A constant feeling of safety and control
Both wings share the same philosophy: learning to fly with confidence and enjoying every minute in the air.

Koyot 6: stability, durability and unhurried learning

The Koyot 6 is the benchmark wing for school training and for pilots looking for a solid, balanced and resistant wing.

Its new profile, combined with a more defined arch and lateral stabilisers, offers an exceptional level of stability. The result is a very balanced wing, with a constant feeling of control that helps the pilot focus on learning.

The Nitinol reinforcements in the leading edge allow the profile to maintain its optimal shape through countless inflations and hours of flight — a key factor in an intensive-use environment.

Made with durable and resistant materials, the Koyot 6 is designed to withstand the daily rhythm of flying schools, maintaining consistent and predictable behaviour over time.

Ideal for:

  • Learning at a flying school
  • Solid and controlled progression
  • Pilots who prioritise stability and durability
  • Intensive and frequent use
Technical specifications:
  • Certification: EN/NfL A
  • Available sizes: 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30
  • Wing weight: from 4.08 kg
  • In-flight weight range: 50–135 kg
  • Standard colours: Mispel, Guava, Blueberry, Pitaya

Koyot 6 P: learn and start flying light

The Koyot 6 P is a lighter version of the Koyot 6. It maintains the same accessible and safe character, but features an optimised construction to reduce the overall weight of the wing.

The use of lighter fabrics — Dokdo 32 g and 25 g — allows for even easier inflation and great comfort on the ground, something especially appreciated on mountain take-offs and during your first Hike & Fly experiences. If you do not know what Hike & Fly is, you can discover it here.

Despite its lower weight, the structure is also reinforced with:

  • Nitinol rods to maintain the shape of the profile.
  • Optimised rib and diagonal design.
  • Reinforced attachment points for good load distribution.
The simplified 12 mm risers and the combination of sheathed and unsheathed lines help reduce the total weight of the wing without compromising durability or safety.

Ideal for:
  • Learning with a lighter and more accessible wing
  • First Hike & Fly experiences
  • Pilots who value easy transport and handling
  • Versatile use between school and mountain flying
Technical specifications:
  • Certification: EN/NfL A
  • Available sizes: 20, 22, 24, 26, 28
  • Wing weight: from 3 kg
  • In-flight weight range: 50–119 kg
  • Standard colours: Tiger, Gecko
