Meryl Delferriere

My parents have always been involved in paragliding, so from a very young age I was already flying tandem with them. At the age of 12, my father offered me the chance to sign up for my first paragliding training course and I did all my first flights in Vallouise, in the Ecrins. When I was 16, I had the opportunity to join the Centre of Excellence for Free Flight in Font Romeu, where I was able to learn a lot and perfect my technique.

From that moment on, everything accelerated rapidly. I competed in my first World Cup at age 18 and at 21, I won the World Cup Final and the World Championships. Since then, I have been a member of the French national team, I live in Annecy and work at the Passagers du Vent school. My whole life is linked to flying, and I love it! 

With several podium places achieved over the years, the title I'm most proud of and the one I'm most happy about is undoubtedly my second place overall in the World Cup in Colombia in 2022. I am aware that I still have a lot of work to do, but I hope that one day I will be able to defend a first place in the overall World Cup. In the future, I would also like to do more combined events and mix paragliding with other disciplines. If that is not possible, I will continue to have fun, especially flying with my friends until the sun goes down. 

I am very happy to have joined the Niviuk Team, as I see that it is a very close-knit team where all members share and exchange experiences with each other. We are also fortunate to have very good flying equipment with excellent performance, so let's see where I can get with all this!
