My name is Antoine and I have been flying for the past 10 years. At first, I got into paragliding only to find an easy and fast way to get back to the valley after a long hike. Nowadays, I climb mountains for the only reason to take-off and I try to find thermals to make the pleasure of being in the air longer, sometimes for a few tenth or even hundreds of kilometers!
I have been lucky to fly long distance in the Alps including two quite unusual 200km triangles getting to 4000m altitude close to the Matterhorn and the Dent Blanche in Switzerland. Despite the fact that cross country is an amazing way of flying, I like to touch the mountains. So I naturally got into bivy flying which allows me to combine different passions. To me, bivy flight is the ultimate paragliding practice as it offers endless possibilities as well as a way to get quite easily to almost any places that would be inaccessible if you were on foot!
To date, my two most beautiful bivy flying achievements are a return trip from St-André-Les-Alpes to Les Écrins, and a trip from the Mediterranean Sea to the Austrian Tyrol.
There are still so many paragliding projects that I would like to do, I can’t wait! I own a DEJEPS in paragliding: I am a certified instructor, I can share my passion with as many people as possible!
I am also fond of skiing. I started the training to become a ski instructor 5 years ago. I am almost done with the training, I can’t wait to get my certification! I live in the Haute-Savoie mountains in France and I will certainly not get away of this amazing place!
Curiosities
J“irai bivouaquer avec vous
In 2018 I went from Cannes to Worgl in Austria, only by foot and flight, on a 12-day bivy flight. You can find my adventure on my FB page "J'irai bivouaquer avec vous"!
Last summer
Over a favourable week-end last summer, I flew from St-André-Les-Alpes and did a bivy flight in Les Écrins, flying la Barre des Écrins, Pic de la Meije and Orcières.
Ikuma 2 P
I also completed a 200km triangle in the Pennine Alps in the Furka Pass, Les Diablerets and the Matterhorn area with an Ikuma 2 P!
Klimber P
I was also lucky enough to take-off from Mont-Blanc with my Klimber P and flew over the amazing South faces of the range!
