How are the small sizes of the R-Bus 2 used?

Sizes 31 and 34 allow professional tandem trike flights in high wind conditions while maintaining the stability and safety that this glider provides. 

It is important to note that this type of flying, with a small size wing and strong winds, requires a high level of pilot skill! For flying, landing and take off. 

If you want to do foot-launched paramotor tandems or single-seater trike flights, the smaller sizes of this wing will also be your best choice. But never forget to check the wing loads of each size beforehand, to make sure your choice is correct!  
 

When to choose a large size of the R-Bus 2?

Do you fly with a very heavy trike? In this case, sizes 37 and 40 are the best options for you. The R-Bus 2 can carry up to 600 kg, 100 kg more than the previous version. 

Additionally it is much more stable in flight, so that both pilot and passenger can enjoy an unforgettable experience. Its durability and stability make it the best choice for professional flight enjoyment.

In the case of the R-Bus 2, the R&D team have concentrated on:

1.    Increased stability

The stability of the wing has been improved, maintaining a smooth turn and minimising in-flight movements, especially roll. 

2.    Greater wing load

As stated above, this version can carry a maximum wing load of up to 600 kg (+100 kg compared to the previous model). 
                      

3.    Reduced brake pressure

For increased pilot comfort and thanks to the improved brake line cascade, manoeuvrability and handling have been made easier. The brake pressure when turning or landing has been reduced. 

In addition, to help reduce the effort required when using the brakes, the pilot can use only the High Speed Tip steering when manoeuvring, reserving the main brakes for launch and landing only. 

The High Speed Tip, which now has a rounded shape, is better positioned on the riser, works with a magnet and is adjustable to the preferences of each pilot. The High Speed Tip is independent of the main brake, which eases turning by reducing the force required to perform the turn. 

Manoeuvrability is improved and the pilot has much more direct control at all times. To balance the physical strength required and responsiveness to the input, the High Speed Tip can also be used in conjunction with the main brake.
 

4.    A-Assist System

The A-Assist System, which is an extra maillon on the A-riser, allows the pilot to attach the A-risers to the trike to keep their hands free and comfortably operate the brake controls during take off.

Each pilot can adjust the optimum line length to make the connection between the trike and the A-Assist System, so that the A-Assist System will tension the risers when the trike starts to move, but when the glider is inflated, the A-Assist System line loses tension and the riser can work correctly. 
 

5.    Safer launch and landing

The R-Bus 2 has an extended speed range compared to its predecessor, thanks to an increased maximum speed (+3 km/h) and a decreased minimum speed (-5 km/h). This also reduces the distance needed for take off and landing, making the flight more comfortable and safer.

6.    Very efficient glide

The R-Bus 2 maintains glide efficiency, which helps reduce fuel consumption and gives the wing excellent speed and height retention for soft landings. In case of an engine failure, it is much safer due to its reduced sink rate (-2.5 m/s for a wing loading of 420 kg on a size 40 wing).
